Our Favorite Wedding And Event Designs Of 2025
As we say a fond farewell to another year, the winter months at Events By Artful Decor, Inc. have always represented something more meaningful than the final days on our calendar. A true moment of reflection, twenty years in the wedding and special event industry has taught our Creative Team that the end of a chapter in life’s journey will always lead to us a new beginning.
With the first strike of midnight, our Creative Team never could have imagined that the winter wonderland of our first event would lead us to discover the joy to be found around every corner of life’s journey. With each new year came the opportunity to write a new chapter in our dream of designing timeless and elegant events, which would later become the foundation of Events By Artful Decor, Inc.
The start of another chapter for our licensed, bonded and insured business and the closing of 2025, allows us to look back upon the many milestones we shared with our clients, the strengthening of our industry partnerships and the growing inventory within our private design studio and warehouse, as we celebrate the spectacular weddings and events our Creative Team had the opportunity to design throughout the year.
As we reflect upon the growth of our company and its branded Design Experience, we in-turn have an opportunity to look inward to find the personal growth within ourselves. Although we never knew all of the twists and turns our intertwining personal and professional journeys would take throughout the year, by relying upon the individual strengths found within each other and our partners, our brand has in turn become stronger and we look forward to the wonderful things 2026 has to offer.

• HOME OF THE SPARROW •
In 2025 we continued to pursue our enthusiastic passion for giving back to those in need throughout our community. Establishing new partnerships with some of the wonderful non-profits in McHenry County, and lending our continued support to our favorites, we worked with a variety of charitable organizations throughout the year including decorating for The United Way’s holiday celebration, providing a backdrop for the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association’s Annual Holiday Fashion Show and lending planning services to the Senior Volunteer Network’s upcoming fundraiser. Yet the highlight of the year is always designing for our friends at Home Of The Sparrow! This year’s Signature Gala was held on World Homeless Day and what a pleasure it was to bring their vision for ‘No Place Like Home’ to life. Complete with a showstopping scene filled with natural hues to represent Kansas, our team hand glittered ruby slippers, brought in a rustic cart, trunks and a windmill, and even finished the entrance design with fresh cornstalks. The Oz themed ballroom was later unveiled to the over 200 guests after cocktail hour, featuring a multitude of centerpiece designs to represent the story’s main characters, with some of the tallest centerpieces ever designed by our team. A highlight in our year of timeless designs, we were proud to help be a part of HOS’s most profitable gala yet!

This summer also brought beautiful designs as we celebrated Taylor and Nolan’s wedding day at Blumen Gardens in Sycamore! A year of designs where our team truly reached new heights, this installation design featured another entrance with white sheer drapery and paper lanterns, which welcomed guests into the garden space for the outdoor ceremony. Featuring over 35’ of white sheer draping, this entrance installation was a stunner and one to remember for our team! As guests made their way from cocktail hour, they were met with a gorgeous dancefloor, complete with our café lights and additional white paper lanterns overhead. With 200’ of lanterns and lights, our team rigged the support for this installation, and we are proud that everything we do in competed in-house by our team! Perfectly matching our couple’s checkerboard dancefloor and the rustic interior of the reception space, our bride later raved that our addition to their wedding day made their reception!

• LACUNA LOFT •
Reaching new heights yet again, our team headed to Lacuna Loft for another summertime wedding day to celebrate the marriage of our client’s Ashley and Chris! With an industrial and eclectic vibe, our team rigged a pair of offset grids with two dozen disco balls in various sizes. Providing a contemporary yet modern look perfect for this loft space in the city, these black metal industrial grids intentionally did not require greenery or floral as requested by the client to not distract from the artistic and metal interior of the space. Up for the challenge, our team hung each of the metal grids 13.5’ in the air over the dancefloor in our first venture in rigging for the year! This super fun installation, was the perfect addition for our clients wedding which was all about the party on the dancefloor!

• LAKE LAWN LODGE •
This year we also celebrated the opening of our brand new Design Studio and we were proud to invite our first clients Maria and Sophia with their planner Susie into our workspace as a sneak preview prior to our Grand Opening with Crystal Lake and Barrington Area Chambers! Maria and Sophia were excited to begin designing the various elements of Sophia’s ‘Princess And The Frog’ themed quinceanera at Lake Lawn Lodge with our team, as we designed and planned everything from her bouquet to the centerpieces live during their consultation. The final design which graced two dozen reception tables, included antique frog statues, cut crystal urns and compotes, and a beautiful entranceway design, featuring a pair of fairytale inspired antique metal screens accented with trailing roses and greenery, was one to remember for our team! With rain in the forecast for the outdoor ceremony, our team pivoted some of the major pieces of this design the morning of and bulked up our floral for the centerpiece tables. Sophia knew from the beginning she wanted a color palette or ivory and lavender, and our team added the addition of iridescent mint beaded centerpiece bases to accent her gorgeous glittering ballgown.

• OAK BROOK MANOR •
In the peak of autumn we also celebrated Kristine and Willie’s wedding day on luckily one of the warmest days of the year! Planning long distance from Florida, Kristine worked closely with our team virtually to complete her wedding design across her consultation appointments. From the beginning, Kristine had a clear vision for a dark, moody and gothic design for her florals and trusted in our team to make the right selections with regard to seasonal floral varieties, which made the process exciting for our team to help make our client’s vision cohesive by bringing together the different element of their wedding day! Lining the aisle with one of the highlight elements of the day, lush grounded arrangements which were later flipped to the reception, our team accented the venue’s supplied arch with a corner floral installation which featured trailing smilax vines, defining a final design which was both moody and romantic. Closing out our year of reaching new heights, our team rigged the venue’s ceiling at 14.5’ and draped the reception with black sheer draping. We also installed an increible custome printed vinyl dance floor! Complete with a floral chandelier which featured additional greenery vines and disco balls, we used these same elements below to accent Kristine and Willie’s reception signage.
